North Stafford Softball expresses its condolences for the loss of Blain Kurucz, who passed away on February 24, 2023, a Friday. 22-year-old Blaine was a recent graduate.
Blain, a left-handed pitcher known for his size and strength who finished in 2022, pitched left-handed. On the mound, he displays fluid separation, keeps a constant point of balance, and releases the ball with a smooth but loose arm motion.
He keeps his direction toward the dish and uses a high 3/4 arm slot to gain a commanding lead on the glove side of the ball. He was able to pitch his changeup with the same arm speed because of his tailing motion.
Blain Kurucz has a fascinating spirit in addition to his alluring demeanor. He was always joyful and wore a grin on his face. He was an endless wellspring of hope.
