We were shocked to hear that Chase Tripp, Catawba’s Director of Sports Performance since July 2020, had passed away.

Director of Athletics Michelle Caddigan said of Chase: “Chase was a kind, passionate, dedicated, and integral part of our Catawba community.
As he tirelessly worked to help them develop into the best athletes and people they could be, he impacted every student athlete’s life. He is mourned by Catawba Athletics and the entire university. We were fortunate to meet him.
In Omwake-Dearborn Chapel, the Chaplains’ Office will hold a prayer service today, March 2, at 11:00 a.m.
On March 14th at 11:00 am, a memorial ceremony will be held in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel. This will be a time for us to gather together for solace and comfort, a time to remember and celebrate Chase’s life.
