Damian Watcyn Lewis CBE is an English actor, presenter, and producer who was born on February 11, 1971. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as U.S. Army Major Richard Winters in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, for which he is most known. In the Showtime series Homeland, he also played U.S.
Marine Gunnery Sergeant Nicholas Brody, a role for which he won a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe. He received his third Primetime Emmy nomination as well as his fourth Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of King Henry VIII of England in Wolf Hall. In the first five seasons of the Showtime drama Billions, he played Bobby Axelrod. Most recently, he played actor Steve McQueen in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
