Allegheny County police are investigating the deaths of two people who were found with gunshot wounds inside a Pitcairn apartment Friday evening.
Late Friday night, the medical examiner’s office released the names of the people who were shot, identifying them as Jade Baker-Wright, 20, and Andre Johnson, 21, both of Pitcairn.
Johnson’s death was ruled a suicide by the Allegheny County medical examiner.
Officers responded to the apartment in the 500 block of Broadway Boulevard at about 4:35 p.m.
“The call was from a family member who was checking on them and forced their way into the apartment,” Lt. Venerando Costa said.
Police were asking anyone with information to call 833-ALL-TIPS. Anonymous calls will be accepted.
