Matt Ross is an American actor. He’s also a director and screenwriter. As an actor, he had his career beginnings in the early 1990s, debuting in the film Little Cory Gory. He next appeared in the movies Twelve Monkeys and Face/Off. His first television appearance was in Party of Five. He later became known for starring as Alby Grant on the HBO series Big Love, which he played from 2006 to 2011. Following this, he played recurring character Charles Montgomery on American Horror Story: Murder House. Subsequently, he joined the main cast of the Starz series Magic City as Jack Klein, followed by his portrayal of Johnny Cash on the TV movie Ring of Fire. As of 2014, he plays Gavin Belson on the HBO show Silicon Valley. He also had roles in the films The Aviator and Good Night, and Good Luck.
