It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the unexpected passing of our dear friend and fellow member Shelly Testa.
Everyone here was taken completely aback by the news of her passing. Today, we ask that you keep her children, parents, and other family members in your thoughts and prayers, as well as her fiance David.
We are all going to miss you very much, Shelly. Thank you for everything you’ve done. Shelly’s boundless supply of vitality and contagious excitement for living made her a very valued contributor to the club. Her uncanny ability to immediately form friendships with anybody she came in contact with will be dearly missed by all.
Shelly has been of great assistance to our club over the course of the years in a variety of different capacities, including serving as the chairperson of our entertainment committee, tending bar, organizing contribution drives, organizing and conducting a variety of events, and the list could go on and on. In short, Shelly has been a valuable member of our team for many years. Shelly will be much missed, especially by her family, whom I hold in the highest respect.
The weekly meat raffle that was supposed to take place on March 18 has been postponed because there was not enough interest from participants. But if you’re free, I’d love it if you could stop by and raise a glass to my friend Shelly. We will be sure to keep you informed of any new information as soon as it is made available to us. In addition to the other members of the Board of Directors, Lisa was present.
