Kristen’s demise was highly publicized following a racist incident in 2018 involving her former cast mate Faith Stowers in 2018. “Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder [and] Kristen Doute will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules ,” the network confirmed to HollywoodLife on June 9.

A rep to Kathan and Bravo did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request to comment. The Vanderpump Rules newbie appeared as a full-time cast member on the show for season 8 after making brief appearances on season 7.

Kathan made her debut during season eight of “Vanderpump Rules,” appearing as a new waitress at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR. During Kathan’s time on the show, she butted heads with Scheana Shay, as well as her ex-flame and TomTom manager Max Boyens.
In June 2020, both Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder were fired from “Vanderpump Rules” after it was discovered that they had called the police on their Black costar, Faith Stowers, for a crime that she did not commit.

It appears that “Vand erpump Rules” will still return for a ninth season, but the cast has not begun filming yet due to various delays, including a scandal that resulted in much of the cast getting fired over this past summer.
