Dan Finnerty is an American actor and musician who was born on January 22, 1970. He is the main vocalist of The Dan Band, a comedic group he founded that Entertainment Weekly named “the hottest ticket in Hollywood.” The live performance was captured in Los Angeles for the Bravo channel’s one-hour concert special Dan Finnerty & The Dan Band: I Am Woman, which was executive produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by McG.

Finnerty was raised in the little town of Bath, New York, after being born in Rochester, New York. He studied at Boston’s Emerson College. He was a part of the popular off-Broadway production Stomp in New York.
As the wedding singer at Will Ferrell’s wedding in Todd Phillips’ film Old School, Finnerty rose to popularity for his delightfully vulgar performance of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Phillips proceeded to use Dan in his films, first as the sleazy wedding singer in The Hangover and then as the irreverent bat mitzvah singer in Starsky & Hutch. Steven Spielberg cast him in The Terminal after viewing The Dan Band and agreed to executive produce his comedy special.
